His Eminence, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, today evening, May 30, 2021, received in his official office in Baghdad, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdul-Sahib. During the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Legal Committee, Deputy Rebwar Hadi, and Deputy Dr. Muhammad Shaker, a member of the Parliamentary Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee, Discussing topics and issues of common interest that concern the scientific process, as well as the Ministry’s plans for the 2021-2022 school year at the level of preliminary and postgraduate studies And the related admission channels and application procedures, while adhering to all preventive and precautionary recommendations issued to confront the Corona pandemic.
In the context of the conversation, Al-Haddad stressed the importance of continuing coordination between the Ministry of Education and the Parliamentary Education Committee and directing scientific and research institutions to maintain scientific sobriety And concerted efforts to overcome the problems and obstacles facing the scientific process and build generations equipped with theoretical and applied sciences and knowledge in the field of specialization, His Eminence pointed out the need to raise the level of academic and scientific cooperation between the Ministries of Higher Education in the Federal Government and the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government in order to enhance the scientific process in universities and enable students to continue their scientific career.
For his part, the Minister expressed his happiness for providing this opportunity and talking with the Presidium of Parliament and the Legal and Education Committees to discuss issues and files related to securing development requirements in the field of higher education and scientific research and ways to improve the quality and sobriety of universities and the development of educational institutions.
