In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful

“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least”.
(Allah Almighty has spoken the truth)

With deep grief and sorrow, we received the news of the martyrdom of the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Organization, Hajj Commander Abi Mahdi al-Muhandis, and his aides, who had a prominent role in the battles to liberate Iraqi lands from the terrorist of ISIS gangs, underlining the most magnificent images of courage.

What happened in the vicinity of Baghdad International Airport yesterday targeting a military commander belonging to the Iraqi military establishment is a flagrant violation of sovereignty, and a violation of international conventions, while any security and military operation on Iraqi territory must have the approval of the government, and we also call on the government in this sensitive circumstance to take the necessary political, legal and security measures to stop such attacks.

And while we condemn this violation and warn of its repercussions that threaten the peace of Iraq and the region; we call on everyone to exercise restraint, to prevail over wisdom, to unite ranks, to face challenges, and to distance Iraq from being a battlefield or a party to any regional or international conflict, and to spare it out of any armed conflicts, and to maintain the stability and security of the country, which has been exhausted by wars.

Our condolences go out to the Iraqi people and the people of the Popular Mobilization Organization, as we extend our condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran for the martyrdom of the guest of Iraq, Hajj Qassim Soleimani, asking God Almighty to shed mercy on the martyrs and bless them and inspire their loved ones patience and solace.

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return”

May God shed mercy on you, Abu Mahdi.
