Al-Halboosi receives the Interior Minister and a number of Salahuddin province’s officials in separate meetings

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received separately, on Thursday, the Interior Minister Yasin al-Yasiri, Chairman of the Central Compensation Commission Judge Hamid Nuri, Supervisor of Salahuddin projects in the reconstruction fund Eng. Saif Samir, Director of the Engineering Department Eng. Mohammed al-Masoudi, and the Director General of Water Department in the Ministry of Housing and Construction Mr. Mahmoud Abdel-Saheb.

H.E. discussed, in the presence of the President and members of Salahuddin Provincial Council, its governor and police chief, the security situation in the liberated cities and the problems and obstacles faced by the province, as well as reviewing the situation of displaced persons and the need to resolve their files.

The Parliament Speaker pointed out the need to resolve the file of re-staffing in the institutions of the Ministry of Interior in the liberated provinces on what it was before 2014 based on what is stated in the general budget for the current year in addition to the ended contracts.

For their part, the President and members of Salahuddin Provincial Council reviewed the suffering of citizens in the checkpoints because of the lack of consolidation of the database and the need to unify the security leadership.

For his part, the Minister of the Interior said that his ministry began to resolve files of the re-staffing in the ministry in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, and pledged to work to strengthen the security situation and expand the ministry’s services in all districts and areas of the province.

The Speaker also discussed separately with the Chairman of the Central Compensation Commission Judge Hamid Nuri the efforts of the Commission in the province, stressing the need to develop new mechanisms to accelerate its work and the completion of the largest number of files to ensure the rights of the affected citizens.

Al-Halboosi discussed with the Supervisor of projects of Salahuddin in the Reconstruction Fund, Engineer Saif Samir and the Director of the Engineering Department Eng. Mohammed al-Masoudi the need to speed up the contracting mechanisms for the implementation of projects in order not to conflict with the system of government contracts.

H.E. also discussed with the Director General of Water Department in the Ministry of Housing and Construction, Mr. Mahmoud Abdel-Saheb the suffering of some districts and areas of the province, including Baiji and Seniea, of the scarcity of water and the need to develop the necessary measures to resolve it as soon as possible and within the budget allocations for the current year.
