‏The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi visited, on Sunday, the province of Najaf and went immediately to Abbasiya township to offer condolences to the families of the victims of Tharthar incident.

‏”It is an honour for me to be in the host of Sheikh Faris al-Bedairi to offer condolences to our people who are afflicted by the incident of Tharthar committed by terrorist ISIS organization,” H.E. said in a tribal gathering of Al Bedair tribes in Najaf and the Middle Euphrates, pointing out that this organization does not belong to a clan or to any religion or doctrine, but they are “Khawarij” of this era.

‏”We are united people, united tribes, and I am for all Iraqis, and it is my duty and responsibility to stand at same distance from everyone, and we must be united,” he continued, adding that “your wounded is ours, and your brothers in Anbar are standing with you all together”.

‏H.E. pointed out that terrorism has no place among Iraqis, warning against being dragged into sectarian strife, stressing that the House of Representatives is determined to enact laws that criminalize sectarianism.

‏During a meeting with the families of the victims, the Parliament Speaker confirmed that the criminals of the Tharthar incident do not represent anyone, and that the judiciary will take its course in this case and pursue the fugitives, declaring that he will take care of the families of the martyrs and the wounded.
